The Polo Classic is looking for volunteers! If you love to volunteer and love the Ronald McDonald House--we've got a job for you! The Cobra Roofing Polo Classic is coming up on September 13th 2009 and we are recruiting servers, bussers and other helping hands to make this year the best Polo Classic yet!

Parade of Hats--hat competition sponsored by Northern Quest

Ladies, get ready for polo and get ready to wear those hats!

So far this year we've already had the opportunity to wear our hats several times...the Polo Classic Kick Off in CdA, the press conference and the BubbleQ. However, all these events have been small precursors to the big "hat" event--the Parade of Hats hat competition at the Cobra Roofing Polo Classic.

It will be the ultimate opportunity to don beautiful hats overflowing with flowers and feathers! This year, the hat competition will cost $20--with all proceeds going to the Ronald McDonald House. Entries for the competition will take place upon registering either prior to or at the Polo Event and will close one-half-hour before the Parade of Hats. The announcement of the winners and the Parade of Hats will begin at 1:55p. Our hat competition prizes will be donated by Jewelry Design Center from the new Elle line of jewelry.

Our hat competition sponsor is Northern Quest Resort & Casino. A huge thanks to Northern Quest for giving us a reason to wear our polo hats!

So, get ready and find your hat..the rest of the outfit will follow in stride. Finder's Keepers is our official hat boutique, but remember to get there before your dream hat sails off the shelves! Last week The Purple Turtle hosted the first BubbleQ in Spokane as a "Thank You" to the polo sponsors. The event was a huge success with over 300 people in attendance, as well as champagne and burgers for all! The ice sculptures were creations of Fitzgerald Ice--all the masterpieces (including a 7ft ice "Q") were amazing! Thank you once again to all the polo sponsors and guests who joined us, not to mention all of the wonderful volunteers who worked in the heat to pull it all off! THANKS!
