How About 7 Nights At The Beach !!

At the Cobra Polo Classic an awesome opportunity exists to bid for 7 nights accomodations at a beach front resort, the Grand Colony Villas, www.grandcolonyvillas.com.

Valued at over $9,000, the location is unbelievable.  Read below!

Ambergris Caye, Belize.  This is a Caribbean Island off of the Belizean Coast.  It is about 20 miles long but only 1 mile wide at its widest spot.  With a ring of white sand beaches surrounding mangroves, it is one of a number of small nearby islands all located in the Belize Barrier Reef (second largest barrier reef after the Great Barrier Reef).

The biggest draws to Ambergris Caye are:

- Incredible beaches protected by the barrier reef.  Waves lap up onto the soft sandy shore directly in front of your ground floor condo.

- Scuba and snorkeling (The “Blue Hole” is one of the most highly touted dives in the SCUBA community)

- Fishing (World Famous bone fishing and tarpon fishing…this is a tropical fishing mecca for both fly and spin fishing)

- Mainland adventures, including cave tubing, zip-lining through the jungle and touring the Mayan ruins

- Great food!  Incredible food on the island includes extremely affordable shrimp and lobster caught fresh along the shore.  Also enjoy the many great restaurants on the island.

-The people.  You would be hard pressed to find a friendlier island.  The locals are extremely welcoming to the tourists.  English is the national language, as Belize is a British Protectorate.

- Laid back lifestyle.  Things move slow on Ambergris Caye.  A few Trucks used for commercial use and

some minivans used as taxis make up the handful of cars.  Basically everyone (tourists and locals)

navigate the island in golf carts, on foot and/or on bicycles.  Water taxis are available as well.  The

exchange rate is always two Belizean Dollars for every American Dollar (very simple) and US Dollars

are accepted everywhere.

7 nights accommodations at the Grand Colony Island Villas www.grandcolonyvillas.com.  This is a 3 bedroom 2 Bathroom Ground floor Luxury Condo on the beach, the actual unit where Matt Lauer stayed when he visited Belize for a two-day shoot of the Today Show last year.  Walk out your back door onto the beach.  Out the front door is a beautiful two tiered pool.  Each time I stayed there, we have been the only people at the pool.  After a short fifteen minute walk to town, you will find great shopping and incredible restaurants and bars.  Obviously much shorter trip to town by golf cart or bike.  Daily maid service is included.  24 hour security (even though it isn’t necessary).
